Thanks to KLTV for the original story.
29-year-old disabled Army veteran Allen Wayne Densen Morgan had reason to believe that his next door neighbor had recently raped his wife. He decided to take matters into his own hands by attempting to hire, what he thought, were members of the KKK who would help carry out the murder.
When the undercover agents, posing as KKK members contacted him, he promised them a watch, necklace and the firearm he kept at his house as payment. They agreed to meet him at an EconoLodge nearby. While on the phone he told the agents:
“I want this man hung like a tree like an animal. I want his [expletive] cut off and I want him cut…I want him hung from a tree and gutted…that’s how I want him to die. Die a slow painful death and that’s it.”
The agents then met him at the EconoLodge where he offered them the watch and necklace, letting them know the gun was at home (a gun he had just used to fire warning shots at his neighbor). After giving the agents a layout of the property and a description of the neighbor they then promptly took him in to custody. He is currently being held by U.S. Marshals.
It turns out that the neighbor does have a prior rape on his record and is on the registered sex offender list.
